"High Output Microfocus X-ray"

Technical Services Group, Inc., (a.k.a. TSG), offers x-ray repair and maintenance services on a variety of x-ray radiography systems used for industrial non-destructive testing. Included among these systems the HOMX-161*  microfocus x-ray system shown here.

  

The HOMX* was originally produced in the early 1980s as the HOMX-160 by Ridge, Inc. of Atlanta Georgia. In the mid-1980s, the redesigned model HOMX-161 was introduced and utilized in many industrial nondestructive testing x-ray applications. After a merger between Ridge and IRT corporation of San Diego California, the system continued to be produced in Atlanta until operations were moved to San Diego in 1987. Some of the HOMX* systems were sent to Europe under an agreement with Philips X-Ray in Hamburg Germany, and marketed under the Philips brand name. IRT incorporated several of these units into their Real-Time Cabinet X-Ray Inspection Systems which were marketed under the product name "Fluoroscan"* like the system shown below. 

After some years, IRT went out of business, the HOMX-161 ceased to be manufactured, and thus the product is no longer supported by the original manufacturer. Many of these systems are still in use today, or remain serviceable with the proper attention. Several of TSG's staff, were previously employed at Ridge and IRT, and were trained on, involved with and experienced in servicing and supporting these products. TSG has the only x-ray service organization with the training, experience, and resources to properly service and maintain this equipment. 

* Note: "Fluoroscan" and "HOMX" were registered trade-names of IRT Corporation, and should not be confused with any other company using similar trade names.

TSG also offers expert service on the Andrex model MX-4 microfocus x-ray systems.  

TSG's service center is fully equipped and staffed to service these systems, and we maintain an extensive inventory of service parts in order to expedite repairs. TSG can provide field-service repairs and maintenance at your location to minimize system down time. TSG offers field service on an hourly plus expenses basis, or on a fixed price basis to suit your needs, and our rates are competitive in the industry.
